[08:55:16] Hi Paul, Can you please add me to the SPDK project on trello? My user is johnkariuki1 [08:56:05] jkkariu - i just added you as an SPDK team member [08:56:18] you should be able to add yourself to any SPDK team board now [08:56:24] can you confirm? [08:57:12] I am in. I can see the boards [08:57:16] thank yoiu [08:57:31] ok - can you go to the "Things to do" board and try to add yourself to the board? [08:58:24] sure [09:00:35] How do I add myself? [09:15:30] there's a buton in the upper right that says 'join board' I think [09:26:06] thanks. [09:56:18] FYI wrt running autotest.sh on my 2 72 core workstations here, it does appear there is a lock contention/race issue in nvme.sh that is showing up on both. Hacking around with it now, delays between the individual tests within the script make it go away. Will zero it on here soon enough... [10:12:42] drv, bwalker: was able to repro the ch->io_outstanding assert with the P3700 [10:23:51] jimharris, so I've seen that at home here a few times running nvme.sh many times. Well, I've seen "an assert" on a re-run following a failure after killing some hung processes so I didn't think too much of it. If I hit it again I'll post details of where it was [10:24:03] *** Joins: johnmeneghini (~johnmeneg@pool-96-252-112-122.bstnma.fios.verizon.net) [10:25:27] *** Quits: johnmeneghini (~johnmeneg@pool-96-252-112-122.bstnma.fios.verizon.net) (Client Quit) [10:26:10] the one I was referring to is specific to vhost - not nvme.sh [10:26:30] not to say that the assert couldn't happen in other cases too [10:26:50] drv: are we still running the nightly tests? [10:27:13] hmm, good question - I guess what is happening right now is that the cron job is still posting nightly test reviews on the internal Gerrit [10:27:22] yeah - that's what i was thinking too [10:27:41] sounds like another task for sethhowe [10:28:00] jimharris, yeah, that's what I meant by "an assert" but it is an OIO assert !=0 somewhere [13:24:27] that's a long green streak in the test pool [13:44:33] plus it's down to about 5.5 minutes [13:54:25] *** Quits: konv81 (cf8c2b51@gateway/web/freenode/ip.207.140.43.81) (Ping timeout: 260 seconds) [13:56:00] I will look into the cron job today. [14:46:01] I ran one through the build as a test, but the cron job will run at the same time that it did previously. [14:53:03] looks good, thanks for setting that up [14:55:12] hey has anyone (recently) tried running autorun.sh on any other systems? After some sleep tweaks (not root caused, just trying to get stable on nvme.sh) I'm starting to get core dumps pretty freuently on bdevperf runs, just starting to look at them now [15:03:40] I'm thinking maybe I should try one of these machines with Fedora as a first step :) [15:03:55] I don't think we've seen any bdevperf crashes in the pool recently [15:04:04] it runs on wkb-fedora-03 [15:04:24] OK, thanks. yeah, I'll put whatever is on that machine on one of these and see how things run just to baseline the HW [15:04:47] do you have a /dev/ram0 device on your system? I think Ubuntu configures those by default [15:04:56] and Fedora doesn't, so we don't get any coverage on the AIO bdev right now [15:05:25] yes [15:05:50] so you probably have a real bug :) [15:06:19] Sweet! Well, either way I need a mental win so will try Fedora this weekend one one and leave ubuntu on the other :) later guys...
